PCCI – Iloilo launches biggest business expo

ILOILO City – The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)-Iloilo chapter launched the Iloilo Business Expo (ILOBEX) Ilonggo Fiesta 2024 on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Festive Walk Iloilo.

The business expo, which is one of a series of activities related to the Dinagyang Festival 2024, gathered a total of 296 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from various towns of Iloilo and neighboring provinces to help them expand their business networks.

The business expo, which will run until Jan. 28 will be held simultaneously at the Festive Walk Iloilo and Robinsons Place Iloilo.

Around 83 exhibitors gathered at the Festive Walk Mall and 213 at the Robinsons Place Iloilo showcasing various products from local delicacies, fresh produce, garments, handicrafts, food, health and wellness, accessories, and other products and services.

Officials from the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 6 and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6 lauded the PCCI officers for their unparalleled efforts to further promote the products and services of their members and other local entrepreneurs.

Among the exhibitors who joined the business expo at the SM City Iloilo are entrepreneurs from the towns of San Joaquin, Lambunao, Leganes, Tubungan Vegetable Producers Association, and the Durian Industry Association of Davao.

On the other hand, exhibitors at Festive Walk Iloilo came from the towns of Cabatuan, Sara, Barotac Viejo, Dueñas, Concepcion, Oton, Guimaras, and various districts of Iloilo City.

Jerduen Dongor, PCCI Vice President for Internal Affairs served as ILOBEX project chairman and was co-chaired by Frank Limsui, PCCI corporate secretary.

Considered the biggest business exhibition in Western Visayas, ILOBEX aims to showcase the products of the local MSMEs, help local entrepreneurs scale up their products and services for them to fully recover from the economic downfall due to the pandemic, as well as to connect with other entrepreneurs./PN
