THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has extended medical support to some 6,211 patients all over the country, said Vice Chairperson and General Manager Royina Garma.
“Ito ay nagkakahalaga ng P63,513,546.57. Ang tulong medical na naipamigay ng ahensya ay para sa naospital, dialysis, chemotherapy, hemophilia at post-transplant medicines na naaayon sa Medical Access Program (MAP) ng ahensya,” PCSO said in a press release.
Starting May 4-8, 2020, the agency granted P22,147,432.67 to 1,487 hospitalized individuals; P35, 866,057.36 to 4,415 patients undergoing dialysis; P35, 866,057.36 to 227 patients undergoing chemotherapy; and P1,082,652.42 to 92 beneficiaries for their post-transplant medication.
“Sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic, hindi nakakalimutan ng PCSO ang mga mahihirap na Pilipino na maysakit, kaya naman patuloy ang PCSO sa paghahatid ng tulong medikal, upang maibsan ang epekto ng COVID-19 sa Pilipino at upang makapagbigay ayuda sa ating gobyerno sa pagsugpo sa nasabing virus,” Garma said./PN
