PDEA-6 slams shooting of agent in Bacolod

BY DOMINIQUE GABRIEL BAÑAGA

BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Western Visayas condemned Tuesday’s shooting of their agent in Barangay Cabug here.

In a statement, PDEA-6 said it is not discounting the possibility that the attack against Intelligence Officer 1 Jayson Yayola was job-related, especially as they have intensified their campaign against illegal drugs in this city and Negros Occidental.

PDEA-6 coordinated with the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on the investigation.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, motorcycle-riding Yayola was shot by two individuals in a grey-colored vehicle along Purok Kabugwason.

Yayola sustained three gunshot wounds, although he was on a stable condition./PN
