BACOLOD City – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region Six (PDEA-6) director Alex Tablate warned the public against anomalous information from people posing as PDEA personnel calling establishments or offices to pay courtesy call.
“Please beware of this modus and immediately contact the authorities regarding any suspicious activities as soon as possible,” he said.
Tablate said his name was already used and they are investigating to pinpoint the source of information that misleads the public.
He added these swindlers may even ask for monetary favors.
Tablate noted the same case in PDEA Region 7 and 8 where the callers pretended as PDEA agents demanding monetary fees.
“Our enemies are possibly behind this modus and just derailing our rigid efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs,” Tablate stressed./PN
