BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported not having recorded any major incidents during the observance of Undas.
BCPO director, Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, said they have deployed personnel in various cemeteries since Saturday, Oct. 29.
Cemetery goers had been cooperative, he noted.
With regards to the city’s traffic situation leading to cemeteries, Police Major Junji Liba of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) said they recorded a few problems.
Traffic leading to the Rolling Hills Memorial Park and Roselawn Memorial Park in Barangay Bata was slow due to the huge volume of vehicles entering.
There were a few incidents of vehicle sideswipes along cemetery entrances, which also caused traffic to slow to a crawl.
Overall, the traffic situation in the city was manageable, and BTAO personnel were well-deployed, said Martir./PN
