BACOLOD City – A man was killed after a truck crashed against his pedicab in Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
The 40-year-old resident Mars Magtang sustained head and body injuries, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Magtang was sitting on his parked pedicab when a 10-wheeler truck driven by Nardo Lagunday, 45, of Barangay Pandan, Pontevedra hit him around 5:30 a.m. on May 23.
But it was not immediately established what circumstance led to the incident.
Magtang was rushed to the Enrico R. Elumba Clinic in the town where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Lagunday, meanwhile, surrendered. He was detained in the La Castellana municipal police station./PN
