MANILA – The Philippine Azkals Development Team (ADT) hacked out a 6-0 victory over the Philippine Army F.C. in a friendly match at the ASCOM Football Field in Taguig City on March 5.

Young guns Jarvey Gayoso and Chima Uzoka blasted two goals each, while Marvin Angeles and Lance Ocampo added one each for the national men’s football team’s extension squad.

The ADT made its presence felt early with Ocampo nailing the opening goal within 47 seconds into the match. Gayoso quickly followed it with another attempt in the third minute to make it a 2-0 count.

Uzoka then registered his name in the list with a conversion in the 53rd minute, followed by Angeles’ goal hit in the 68th mark from an assist by Ocampo.

The goal spree continued for the ADT in the extension period of the match with Uzoka completing his brace in the 90+1 minute. Gayoso then sealed the game for good via another assist by Ocampo a minute later.

The ADT-Philippine Army exhibition game was part of the celebration of the Philippine Army’s 123rd founding anniversary./PN
