PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet agreed to boost rice trade between their countries during their bilateral meeting in Melbourne, Australia on March 4.
The two leaders also discussed efforts to tackle double taxation and improve ease of doing business, according to a statement from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
They also discussed expanding flight connections for improved accessibility to premier tourism destinations, and strengthening defense ties to address mutual security concerns, added the PCO.
Marcos and other leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) were in Melbourne upon the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for a special summit to commemorate 50 years of Asean-Australia relations. (Dona Z. Pazzibugan © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
