MANILA – Stallion-Laguna FC went on a goal spree as it defeated Mendiola FC 1991 in the 2019 Philippines Football League over the weekend at the Binan Football Stadium in Binan, Laguna.
Chima Uzoka anchored Stallion-Laguna’s offense when he completed a hat trick, while Fitch Arboleda contributed two goals and Nathaniel Alquiros also had a conversion early in the game.
It was actually Alquiros who got things going for the Stallion-Laguna with his conversion at the second minute. Arboleda had a conversion of his own at the eighth minute to make it 2-0.
Mendiola FC 1991 was able to pull one back at the 20th minute Jim Ashley Flores via penalty kick but could not add up to their conversion leaving the score at 2-1 at the half.
Stallion Laguna poured it on in the second half as Uzoka managed to convert for a 3-1 advantage before Arboleda came up with another hit late in the match to seal the victory.
Stallion-Laguna is currently at second place in the standings with seven points, two wines, one loss and a draw, while Mendiola 1991 remains at the middle with one point on one draw and two losses./PN
