SAN JOSE, Antique – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) wants to put up more “ALAGA KA” (Serbisyong PhilHealth Alamin at Gamitin) campaigns in Antique’s far flung villages.
PhilHealth will give priority to the geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas including the community of indigenous people, said Social Health Insurance chief officer Junie Sabusap.
“We want to inform the members situated in remote areas of their benefits and privileges under the Universal Health Care Program” said Sabusap.
Sabusap said they are determined to reach more remote communities with the implementation of the newly approved Universal Health Care program.
PhilHealth information officer Liza Joyce Songcayawon said ALAGA KA is a PhilHealth program that informs members of their benefits, privileges and responsibilities. (With a report from PIA/PN)
