PH’s No. 4 most wanted nabbed in Dumarao Capiz

ROXAS City – A 29-year-old man ranked as the No. 4 most wanted person in the national level had been arrested in Sitio Agnaripay, Barangay Agsirab, Dumarao, Capiz at around 5 a.m. on Sept. 16.

Jesery Gonzales, resident of Sitio Agnaripay, was charged with murder seven years ago but had never been caught until Thursday.

He had a P135,000 bounty, based on Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular 2021-022.

The arrest warrant for murder (Criminal Case C-162-14) was issued by Judge Lorencito Diaz of thee Regional Trial Court, Branch 16 (Roxas City) on April 7, 2015 with no bail recommended for Gonzales’ temporary liberty.

Gonzales was a suspect in a shooting on June 10, 2014 outside the Capiz State University – Dumarao campus in Barangay Codingle, Dumarao, Capiz. The victim was schoolmate.

He was collared by combined elements of the Dumarao police; 63rd Special Action Company, 6th Special Action Battalion, Philippine National Police – Special Action Force; 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company; Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office; Provincial Intelligence Team Capiz, Regional Intelligence Unit 6 and 602 Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.

Gonzales is presently under the custody of the Dumarao police./PN
