PIA Wurtzbach admitted that she wants to transition out of pageantry.
In her online talk show “Queentuhan,” Pia relayed that she did some reflections last year and figured what she wanted to do outside of the pageant world.
“I was able to take the time in 2020 to really reflect on what I wanted to do outside of this whole pageant scene. Nakwento ko na rin siguro before, but I really want to transition outside of pageantry,” she said.
She also shared that she is happy now that she has “more control” over the work she does.
Pia shared that she used to just be following the schedules given to her.
“[Dati] sumusunod lang ako sa binibigay sa akin na schedules. This time, parang mas nafi-feel ko na parang kung ano ‘yung gusto ko, ‘yun ‘yung nagagawa ko,” she stated.
In an interview with Gulf News in December last year, Pia shared how hectic her life has become even after her reign as Miss Universe.
“The thing I wish somebody told me was that, after you win, you got to work twice as hard to stay relevant. Because the peak is the win, and then the reign. After that, usually, you’ve got to work twice as hard to keep yourself up there, to keep yourself relevant and in the public eye,” she stated. (Push)
