AFTER news about US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton’s absolute pardon came out, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach took to Twitter to reiterate why #TransLivesMatter. It can be recalled that Pemberton was convicted of killing a transgender named Jennifer Laude in 2014.
The beauty queen then went on to encourage her followers to let their voices be heard in the 2022 elections.
“Tuwing nagbabasa ako ng balita, palagi nalang palala ng palala yung mga nababasa ko. Ngayon ito naman? Hay … Eto nalang, let’s all make sure we register to vote for the next elections. Each one of us,” she wrote.
“I will continue reminding everyone to register to vote. Dahil sigurado, maraming magpapabukas nito until the last minute. No more excuses (even for me) lahat tayo dapat registered na.
