ILOILO – A road crash involving a pickup and a wing van occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, along the Circumferential (C1) Road in Barangay Pandac, Pavia town, resulting in injuries to the pickup driver.
The injured individual, identified as Fortunato Mandadero Anitubo from Alimodian, Iloilo, was driving the pickup when it reportedly veered into the path of the wing van, leading to the collision.
The impact caused significant damage to the front of the pickup. The wing van also suffered some damage but not as extensive as the pickup’s.
Authorities from the Pavia municipal police station, who conducted the initial investigation, noted that the pickup “grabbed the line” of the wing van, causing the collision.
Anitubo was conscious when transported to Western Visayas Medical Center for medical attention.
The wing van’s driver, Harry Baldelovar from Estancia, Iloilo, was reported to be in good condition following the incident./PN
