KALIBO, Aklan – Local artists in Aklan will showcase their works in an art exhibit at the provincial capitol lobby starting today until Feb. 28.
The exhibit – dubbed as “Pinta Grasya” – is now on its sixth year, according to organizer Lakbay Kulay-Aklan Chapter.
The provincial government through the Provincial Tourism Office supports the exhibit, which helps in promoting Aklan’s local tourism.
Local artists whose works will be featured in the exhibit are Erlinda Wilson, Mario Perucho Jr., Alreed Zaspa, Wilfredo Custodio, Tee Jay Dadivas, Laurence Niduelan, Roy Ibarra Vicente, and Merlie Tabiolo, among others.
“This year, we do only not expect additional revenues but we also want to lure young visual artists to join our organization,” said Wilson, a member of Lakbay Kulay-Aklan Chapter.
The local chapter has already over 100 members, Wilson added./PN
