Poetic justice

THE COINCIDENCE is uncanny and the timing is impeccable. Was it a simple twist of fate or poetic justice? I’d say all of the above.

The death of CPP/NPA/NDF founder and demi-god Joma Sison just a week before the 54th anniversary of the CPP/NPA is the universe saying this is the end, this nonsense has to stop.

The irony there is that Joma Sison started this nonsense more than 50 years ago to topple down the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. only to die knowing his revolution was a total failure during the watch of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

So Joma Sison is finally dead after spending several weeks in a hospital in the Netherlands – the result of almost four decades of wine, women and song, partying like Austin Powers courtesy of a gullible Dutch government.

The other irony here are the numerous “useful idiots” recruited by the CPP/NPA/NDF to be fighters living a harsh life in the boondocks, only to die in encounters with soldiers of the government they want to overthrow, and buried in unmarked graves in the mountains serving the ambitions of their demi-god Joma Sison.

When I learned that Sison died after suffering a lingering illness, I had mix feelings similar to that nincompoop Noynoy Aquino when he died a lonely man alone in his room – feelings of joy, relief and, above all, gratitude that our country is finally rid of these assholes. An early Christmas gift indeed!

Meanwhile, from 89 fronts, the CPP/NPA/NDF is now down to 24 with 19 on the verge of collapsing. The incoming President of the University of the Philippines (UP) is a moderate and is not fond of wearing red knickers, which means that the CPP/NPA/NDF will finally lose their biggest source of recruits and “useful idiots” to be used as “cannon fodders” in an obsolete ideology.

Moving on, the pseudo communists and the “useful idiots” in UP are up in arms against incoming president Angelo Jimenez because with a moderate president the left will lose their last bastion to stage “white operations” to support the “red operations” or armed operations of the CPP/NPA/NDF.

Of course, the death of Joma Sison is a happy occasion for most Filipinos and he will soon fade away into oblivion, remembered only by the aging pseudo-communist professors in UP who romanticized their revolutionary fantasies.

There were unconfirmed reports as of press time on what Joma Sison died of. Although he was 83 years old when he died, it did not automatically mean he died peacefully of old age. He spent several weeks in the hospital because of an illness, the unconfirmed reports said he died of pneumonia, very much possibly escalated to COVID-19.

If indeed it was pneumonia/COVID-19 then he died a painful death, gasping for his last breathe till the end – still not enough atonement for the more than 62,000 Filipinos killed, and the grief and suffering on the families of these victims all for Joma Sison’s revolution.

On the speculation that it was COVID-19 that killed Joma Sison, then the virus did the country (Philippines) a huge favor, getting rid of a scourge that has plague Filipinos for more than half a century.

It would be the ultimate insult to the Philippines, the Filipino people, the more than 62,000 victims who died in his “revolution”, and sense of decency to allow his ashes (incidentally COVID-19 fatalities are cremated) to be buried here.

Finally, Vice President, Sara Duterte was kind (perhaps sarcastic) when she said, “God have mercy on his soul.” That’s if he had a soul./PN
