BACOLOD City – A 24-year-old laborer was found dead in Sitio Calatong in Barangay Cabadiangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The body of Jessie Mallosa Jr. was discovered inside a nipa hut around 8 a.m. on April 14, said Police Major James Latayon Jr., officer-in-charge of the Sipalay City police station.
Jessie’s brother Melvin told police that the victim may have consumed a poisonous plant called tubli.
Police ruled out foul play in the incident./PN
