Police face blank wall in killing of 2 men in Pavia

ILOILO – Police have yet to identify the gunman in the killing of two motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Jibao-an, Pavia town around 6:40 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27.

Police Major Rolando Araño, chief of the Pavia police station, told Panay News yesterday their investigation is ongoing to determine the motive and identify the lone gunman who shot victims Michael Quizon, 31, of Barangay Ticud, La Paz, Iloilo City and Kenneth Limbaco, 25, of Barangay Desamparados, Jaro district.

Araño said the motorcycle-riding gunman first shot backrider Limbaco and driver Quizon thereafter.

The gunman immediately fled while the victims died while being treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City, police said.

Araño confirmed they recovered three plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P100,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia from the victims’ motorcycle.

Also recovered from the crime scene were five fired cartridge cases, one unfired cartridge and two deformed fired cartridge cases of .45 caliber pistol./PN
