BACOLOD City – Police were still trying to identify the men involved in a fatal stabbing incident in Isabela, Negros Occidental.
From what the police have gathered so far, the victim was a 28-year-old mentally ill person. He sustained a stab wound on the left side of the body.
Citing witnesses, police said the victim was at the public market in Isabela at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday when approached by a group of men.
The victim was taken to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital for treatment but the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
As of this writing police were still clueless about the identity of the attackers.
The attackers fled after the incident./PN
