Police round up 3 wanted persons

ILOILO City – Police in Iloilo and Antique provinces rounded up three people wanted for various crimes on Saturday.

Frustrated murder suspect Crismar Deferia was caught in Barangay Pedada, Ajuy, Iloilo, a police report showed.

Officers from the Ajuy police station served Deferia with a warrant of arrest at around 8:30 p.m. and took him in custody.

Babiera will have to shell out a P200,000 court-set bail bond to spare himself from detention.

At around 4 p.m. in Barangay San Salvador, Banate, Iloilo, police arrested the 37-year-old Ricky Causing.

A resident of Barangay Vista Alegre, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, Causing has been charged with violation of the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004, another police report stated.

Officers from the police stations in Banate and Barotac Viejo served the suspect a warrant of arrest. The Banate police took him in custody.

The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty.

Still another police report stated that Johnny Ynion Marcelo was arrested in Barangay Tigmamale, Valderrama, Antique at around 4 a.m. on the same day.

Marcelo was accused of violating the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines (Presidential Decree 705).

Specifically he was charged with violation of Section 68 as amended by Executive Order 277 (Cutting, Gathering and/or Collecting Timber or Other Forest Products Without License), the police report stated.

Officers from the Valderrama police station served the suspect with a warrant of arrest and took him in custody.

The court recommended no bail bond for Marcelo’s temporary liberty./PN
