BACOLOD City – A policeman assigned at the Bacolod City Police Office – Mobile Force Company figured in a car crash along a provincial road in Barangay Don Salvador Benedicto, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
Police Officer 3 Tyrone Aurelio is a resident of Barangay Alijis in this city. He sustained an injury on the right hand.
Aurelio was driving his Mitsubishi Adventure sport utility vehicle when the crash happened at around 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 1, All Saints’ Day, investigation by the Pontevedra police station showed.
Caught off guard by what he thought was a pothole on the pavement, the police officer quickly steered the car to the right.
But in doing so he lost control of the vehicle, which then skidded and was thrown toward a low-lying area of a sugarcane plantation, police said.
Aurelio was brought to the Valladolid District Hospital. Police have yet to determine the kind and cost of damage the vehicle sustained./PN
