ILOILO City – A police officer died after figuring in an accident on the national highway in Barangay Zerrudo, Sara, Iloilo.
Police Officer 1 Joe Peter Montezuma – a member of the 2nd Iloilo Police Mobile Force Company assigned in Sara – was driving a motorcycle around 9:50 p.m. on Thursday when the accident happened.
A stray dog crossed the road which drove Montezuma to lose control of his motorcycle, police said.
Montezuma was rushed to the Sara District Hospital but later transferred to a hospital in Iloilo City.
The attending physician pronounced Montezuma “dead on arrival.”/PN
