ILOILO City – Investigators of the Jaro district police station want to get to the bottom of their colleague’s death.
Was it suicide or accidental firing?
Police Corporal Paul Eric Uyaco, 30, assigned at the San Miguel, Iloilo City police station but a resident of Commission Civil Street, Barangay Luna, Jaro, died of a gunshot wound on his right temple.
Around 7:15 on July 22, while Uyaco’s wife, Police Corporal Louise Kate Uyaco, 32, and assigned at the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC) was having her breakfast, she heard a burst of gunfire in their room.
She checked the room and she saw her husband, in sitting position, and with a gunshot wound on the right temple.
Paul Eric was rushed to the West Visayas State University Medical Center where he died.
According to Louise Kate, they have no problems; their finances were good.
“Our investigation is on. We are coordinating with his wife who is also a police officer to know what really happened,” said Police Captain Eduardo Siacon./PN
