ILOILO – A couple was found dead at their house’s garage in Barangay Batuan, Pototan yesterday.
Police identified them as Sherwin Ticzon, 43, and wife Christy, 39.
They were discovered by Sherwin’s brother Aljohn around 8:45 a.m.
The victims were employees of the Iloilo Electric Cooperative II (ILECO II) – Sherwin was a driver based in Pototan while Christy was a cashier in Passi City.
According to Police Major Ciriaco Esquillarga, chief of the Pototan police station, the bodies bore no telltale signs of foul play, but he was not ruling out anything just yet.
Initial investigation discovered burns on Christy’s right shoulder. Sherwin, meanwhile, had burns to the head. His ears also bled.
Esquillarga said they were looking into electrocution as cause of the couple’s death.
“Maybe the husband checked their electrical connection in the garage and he accidentally touched a live wire,” he said, and the wife may have tried to help.
“We requested for an autopsy of the victims,” the official said.
The victims may have been dead since Monday night, said Esquillarga./PN
