ILOILO City – Some of the projects of the local government unit of Pototan, in partnership with Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), is an evacuation center and a covered court, according to Pototan municipal mayor Thomas Penaflorida.
“The municipality of Pototan has plenty of projects, but now we are working on the evacuation center [center] project,” Penaflorida told Panay News.
“Ang amon nga evacuation which is the project of the DILG and at the same time, counterpart man kami, will be inaugurated on Dec. 16,” Penaflorida added.
Every barangay in the municipality has a budget of P300,000.
“Kadamo di ang waay bala covered court. Ang priority was to put a covered court. There are around 27 barangays nga gin-butangan kang first phase ka-covered court,” Penaflorida stressed.
The impact of putting an evacuation center and a covered court is that every barangay will represent their cultural presentation, and can use the covered court for meeting purposes. The youth sector will also be engaged in different kinds of sports to avoid using illegal drugs, the mayor said./PN
