BACOLOD City – Domestic and sweeper flights from Manila will continue at the Bacolod-Silay Airport, according to Provincial Incident Management Team commander Zeaphard Caelian.
Pre-arranged and pre-approved flights, Caelian said, will be allowed until Sept. 15.
Because Bacolod City is under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), returning residents of the city are temporarily barred from boarding their flights in Manila.
Caelian, however, said flights for previously arranged trips will push through.
The recent MECQ declaration also affected the arrival of locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from Bacolod City, as well as returning overseas Filipino workers.
However, LSIs who are residents of other local government units, except this city, are not affected by the travel ban./PN
