President, First Lady to grace separate events in Bacolod

BACOLOD City – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Marcos are set to visit this city on June 27 to participate in two distinct events, according to Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez.

The visit, which is being coordinated with the help of presidential personnel already present in the city, was confirmed during a media briefing at the Bacolod City Government Center on June 19.

President Marcos is expected to oversee the distribution of cash assistance through his Presidential Assistance to Farmers and Fisherfolk (PAFF) program, aimed at supporting beneficiaries in crisis.

Approximately 10,000 individuals from Negros Occidental, including 3,000 from Bacolod and 1,000 from each of the province’s six congressional district, are slated to receive this assistance.

Concurrently, First Lady Liza Marcos will grace the “LAB for All” project, an initiative designed to provide essential healthcare services to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.

The project, which stands for “Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot Para sa Lahat,” is a collaboration involving government agencies, local government units, and the private sector.

About 1,500 beneficiaries are expected to benefit from this program.

The venues for these events have been confirmed to be within the city.

Mayor Benitez also mentioned that the inauguration of a housing project in Barangay Vista Alegre might be included in the President’s schedule, although this is yet to be confirmed./PN
