CAPIZ – A pawnshop caretaker was arrested for selling an unlicensed firearm in an entrapment operation in Barangay Poblacion, President Roxas town.
The 50-year-old alias “Nonoy”, a resident of the said town, was caught around 9:50 a.m. on Sunday, August 25, after he handed a caliber .38 revolver to a poseur buyer in exchange for P2,500.
Also recovered from the suspect were three sachets of suspected shabu with a standard price of P27,000 and a sachet of marijuana worth P1,000, according to Major Rachelle D. Garnica, chief of the President Roxas Municipal Station (MPS).
The suspect was detained at the President Roxas MPS. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act (RA) 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
