ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) demonstrated a commitment to enhancing the safety and readiness of its personnel and the communities they serve through a significant investment.

Under the leadership of Brigadier General Sidney N. Villaflor, the PRO-6 has allocated P2,640,000 for the procurement of non-lethal equipment, including 2,000 whistles and 2,417 raincoats.

Aking ipinagmamalaki ang distribution ng PNP (Philippine National Police)-prescribed raincoat and whistle,” Villaflor said yesterday, Jan. 15, during the turnover ceremony held at Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in this city.

Each police station received 18 raincoats. Notably, the Malay Municipal Police Station in Aklan Province received 40 raincoats tailored to the size of its personnel, while the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 headquarters and its line companies were allocated 10 raincoats each.

Kung inyong iisipin bakit nitong January lang namin in-issue. Ang totoo nyan last August meron na kaming na-procure na ilang mga sample, medyo nahirapan lang ang supplier na mag-produce ng gano’ng karami,” Villaflor said.

This acquisition complements the prior issuance of 311 raincoats to select units, bringing the total number of raincoats dispatched to all units within PRO-6 to 2,498./PN
