ILOILO City – Three most wanted persons in Western Visayas were arrested by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) on Wednesday, October 8.
Alias “Nito,” 51, a resident of Barangay Beri, Barbaza, Antique, and the region’s No. 3 most wanted, was caught around 8:39 a.m. in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
Joint operatives of the Barbaza Municipal Police Station, Bacolod City Police Office and Bago City Component Police Station executed the arrest through the strength of an arrest warrant for rape by sexual assault
At 4:20 p.m., the No. 9 fugitive for rape, alias “Grik,” 33, of Barangay Funda-Dalipe, San Jose, Antique, was arrested by the San Jose police in his hometown.
The No. 7 most wanted person in the region was also caught around 7:28 p.m. in Jamindan, Capiz.
The 40-year-old alias “Son,” a resident of Barangay Pangabuan, Jamindan, is facing statutory rape charges, according to the Jamindan Municipal Police Station.
All suspects were detained. The respective court of origin recommended no bail bond for their temporary liberty./PN
