ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) collected 18,450 cc of blood for the Western VIsayas Medical Center Regional Blood Bank Center (WVMCRBBC).
Fifty-seven policemen voluntarily submitted themselves to screening; 41 became successful donors.
The PRO-6 held a blood-letting on Feb. 22 at the PRO-6 Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Delgado in partnership with a team from WVMCRBBC headed by Dr. Ellen Grace Solatorio, pathology president, Western Visayas Blood Bank.
The WVMCRBBC needed to ensure its blood supply.
“This meaningful endeavour truly helps individuals that need blood. This may seem simple to us, but it is a great help to those in dire need,” said Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, Western Visayas police director./PN
