ILOILO City – Effective May 22, Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor became the acting director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).
Special Order No. NHQ-GO-DES-2023-2027 for this was signed by Police Major General Robert Rodriguez, director for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Villaflor will be reporting to the PRO-6 today, replacing Police Brigadier General Archival Macala, the PRO-6 officer-in-charge.
Macala took the helm of the PRO-6 following the transfer of Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco on May 8 to Camp Crame for a higher post.
Villaflor, a native of Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, said this is his first assignment in Western Visayas. Prior to this, he was the deputy director for administration of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Camp Crame.
A graduate of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1992, he had also served as chief directorial staff of the Quezon City Police District
He had also been a police director of a highly urbanized city, provincial operations officer and chief of 10 police stations.
Villaflor also served as commander of a regional public safety battalion and designated twice as division chief of the PNP Logistics Service./PN
