ILOILO – Key officers of the Police Regional Office (PRO-6) were subjected to an unannounced drug testing at the Maringal Hall in Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in Iloilo City yesterday.

Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 acting director, led the drug testing to ensure that no officers are involved in illegal drugs.

“Ang ating tatrabahuin ay para sa bayan at hindi para sa ating sarili. We shall always uphold the right standards of service, honor and justice. Masyadong nakakalungkot kapag ating mapanood sa mga Senate and congressional hearings that some of our members and officers are involved in illegal drugs,” said Villaflor.

He added that they may conduct drug testing everyday to ensure that his personnel are drug-free.

“Kahit araw- araw pa. Trabaho lang naman, walang personalan,” Villaflor said./PN
