ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) is mobilizing over 12,000 police personnel for the May 9 national and local elections.
A send-off ceremony was held yesterday at the PRO-6 parade ground.
According to PRO-6 director, Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, the deployment of personnel will ensure the peaceful conduct of the elections.
To secure the voting centers, some will act as mobile security teams and there are those to be posted at election monitoring action centers.
Others will be detailed at the provincial and city electoral boards.
”To all of you who will be deployed, always remember that the opportunity to hold an election is a sacred gift. Upholding the sanctity of the ballots is our supreme duty as men and women in uniform,” said Dongbo.
Therefore, it is “our chance to showcase our competence, professionalism and dedication as the country’s best men and women in the Philippine National Police (PNP),” Dongbo stressed.
The PRO-6 has standby quick response teams and reserve forces to be deployed when more men will be needed./PN
