PRO-6 nets 1,501 fugitives in Q1 2024

ILOILO City – A total of 1,501 wanted individuals in Western Visayas were arrested by various police units under the Police Regional Office 6 in the first quarter of 2024, or from January to March.

Of these, 267 were classified as most wanted persons and the remaining 1,234 were deemed as other wanted persons.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) had the most number of arrested at 657, followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) with 299 arrests.

The other police offices in the region posted the following number of arrests:

* Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) – 126

* Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) – 111

* Antique Police Provincial Office (AntPPO) – 106

* Aklan Police Provincial Office (AkPPO) – 82

* Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) – 77

* Guimaras Police Provincial Office – 31

* Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Regional Field Unit 6 (CIDG-RFU-6) – nine

* Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RMFB-6) – three

Also, NOCPPO apprehended the most number of arrested most wanted persons at 81, followed by IPPO (74) and BCPO (25). Other police offices/units and their number of arrests were: ICPO – 23, AntPPO and CPPO – 21 each, AkPPO – 14, and GPPO and CIDG-RFU-6 – four each.

Police Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, director of PRO-6, lauded the commitment and outstanding performance of the operatives on the ground who persistently arrested the fugitives.

He said his men responded to his call to review their records of those who have pending arrest warrants and conduct operations.
