ILOILO – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) apprehended 71 fugitives in series of intelligence-driven operations across Western Visayas carried out in a single day.
Of the suspects arrested on Feb. 5, eight were most wanted—one at the regional level, another at the provincial level, and six at the city and municipal levels.
The 63 fugitives were sought as other wanted persons—40 from Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (PPO), 12 from Iloilo PPO, five from Antique PPO, two from Aklan PPO, two from Iloilo City Police Office, one from Bacolod City Police Office, and one from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6.
The success of these operations underscores the unwavering commitment of PRO-6 to ensuring peace and security throughout Western Visayas, according to regional director Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor.
He commended the efforts of all personnel involved and urged them to continue their dedication to making Western Visayas safer and more secure for its residents, visitors, and businesses.
