ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) seized 694.388 grams of shabu and 2.56 grams of marijuana valued at P4,710,854 in a weeklong “Birada Semana” operation.
The 60 anti-drug operations from April 17 to 23 also led to the arrest of 68 drug suspects.
The PRO-6 caught, too, 209 wanted persons in 195 operations, 45 of whom were classified as “most wanted” and 164 as “other wanted persons”.
In the campaign against loose firearms, 162 guns and 23 explosives were either surrendered or recovered. Three operations also led to the arrest of three suspects.
On illegal gambling, 74 operations were conducted, which resulted in the arrest of 235 individuals.
A total of 3,303 checkpoint operations were also conducted by the PRO-6 to deter the occurrence of crimes in the whole region.
PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Leo M. Francisco, lauded all units for their significant contributions and notable accomplishments.
