ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) seized P7 million worth of shabu and arrested 239 wanted persons across Western Visayas in one week of operations (Feb. 20 to 26).

The anti-drug operations also led to the arrest of 80 drug suspects.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office arrested the most number of wanted persons at 94, followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (65) and Aklan Police Provincial Office (20).

PRO-6’s record also showed 196 firearms and 20 explosives either seized or surrendered.

In the campaign against illegal gambling, 208 suspects were arrested in 65 operations.

PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco, lauded his men for the successful operations.

“I always tell them no letup sa mga wanted at mga drug pushers. We have to hit them hard. So sa mga may warrant, isuko na ninyo sarili ninyo. Sa may mga baril surrender to the nearest police station para hindi kayo makasuhan,” Francisco said./PN
