ILOILO City – The first wave of a major revamp in the Philippine National Police (PNP) has spared the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).
Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan remains the police director of Western Visayas.
The PRO-6 has not received any communication or order from the PNP national headquarters regarding any movement or reassignment of its officials, stressed Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, spokesperson of the regional police command.
“We continue working for the peace and order of our place under the leadership of General Pamuspusan,” she stressed.
Pamuspusan was appointed to the PRO-6 only this June.
Twenty-two police generals have so far been reshuffled. They were put on a three-month probation, said PNP officer-in-charge Police Lieutenant General Archie Gamboa, as the police organization fights allegations that some of its members resold confiscated narcotics.
The 22 revamped police officials were the following:
1. Manila Police District (MPD) chief Brigadier General Vicente Danao is now the Calabarzon police director.
2. Former Eastern Police District chief Brigadier General Bernabe Balba is now the chief of the Manila Police District (MPD).
3. Calabarzon police director Brigadier General Edward Carranza is now the chief of the PNP Logistics Support Service.
4. Central Luzon police director Brigadier General Joel Coronel is now the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief.
5. CIDG chief Major General Amador Corpus has been reassigned to the PNP Human Resource and Doctrine Development (HRDD).
6. Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group’s (IMEG) Colonel Romeo Caramat is now with the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (DEG).
7. Colonel Ronald Lee has been reassigned to the IMEG.
8. DEG chief Brigadier General Albert Ferro has been reassigned to the Bicol Police Regional Office as deputy chief for administration.
9. Eastern Visayas police director Brigadier General Dionardo Carlos is the new Highway Patrol Group (HPG) chief.
10. HPG chief Eliseo Cruz is now the PNP CIDG deputy chief.
11. Mimaropa police director Brigadier General Tomas Apolinario has been reassigned to the Directorate for Intelligence as deputy chief.
12. Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG) chief Brigadier General Filmore Escobal is the ew Davao Region police director.
13. Bicol police director Brigadier General Arnel Escobal has been reassigned to the Aviation Security Group
14. Major General Mariel Magaway was moved to the PNP Directorate for Intelligence
15. Brigadier General Anthony Alcañeses is the new Bicol police director.
16. Brigadier General Ferdinand Divina has been reassigned to Eastern Visayas.
17. Brigadier General Angelito Casimiro was moved to Cagayan Valley.
18. Brigadier General Leonardo Cesneros is now assigned to Central Luzon.
19. Brigadier General Nicerio Obaob was moved to Mimaropa
20. Brigadier General Joselito Daniel has been reassigned to the Police Community Affairs and Development Group.
21. Brigadier General Marcelo Morales moves to the PSPG.
22. Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia is the new deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations./PN
