ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 seized around P13.3 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 62 drug suspects in a week of intensive operations.
From September 1 to 7, approximately 1,957 grams of shabu and eight grams of marijuana were confiscated from 45 anti-illegal drug operations across the region.
Negros Occidental cops carried out the most significant operations resulting in the arrest of 22 individuals and seizure of around P7.3 million worth of illegal drugs.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 also conducted effective raids leading to five arrests and the recovery of P2.8 million worth of illegal drugs.
Also, Iloilo City police successfully apprehended 15 individuals involved in drug-related activities and confiscated illegal drugs amounting to P1 million.
“These results are testament of your dedication and commitment to upholding your
sworn duties. Keep pushing forward in identifying the accomplices of these suspects
and if evidence warrants, conduct law enforcement operations against those who are
identified as involved,” PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky told the operating police units./PN
