PRO-6’s ‘Birada Semana’ yields P8.7-M ‘shabu’, 271 fugitives

ILOILO – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) confiscated around P8.7 million worth of suspected shabu during a weeklong operation dubbed “Birada Semana” from June 5–11.

From 66 antidrug operations, 464 sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 1,281.837 grams and valued at P8,716,457.60 were recovered. These also led to the arrest of 71 drug suspects.

In the campaign against wanted persons, 271 were arrested in 213 operations.

Further, of the 55 anti-illegal gambling operations conducted, 162 individuals were arrested, and more than P30,000 in bet money was confiscated.
