BACOLOD City – The mayor of Pulupandan, Negros Occidental was alarmed by the rising number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) fatalities in the town.
Based on data released by the Municipal Health Office (MHO), Pulupandan recorded 10 COVID-related fatalities in just two weeks. The fatalities included a former town councilor.
Mayor Miguel Peña appealed for his constituents to get vaccinated pointing out it is the only protection against COVID-19.
The MHO also made a similar appeal adding that the unvaccinated were “very vulnerable”.
It also appealed to residents to follow the minimum health protocols and seek immediate medical attention if they feel any symptoms of COVID-19./PN
