MOTORISTS will have a slight reprieve this week, as oil firms announced a rollback.
In separate advisories, Petron, Pilipinas Shell and Seaoil said they will cut down the price per liter of gasoline by P0.40, diesel by P2.15, and kerosene by P2.10.
Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines and Cleanfuel, meanwhile, will implement the same changes except on kerosene which they do not carry.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. today, except for Cleanfuel, which will implement the adjustments at 12:01 a.m.
Meanwhile, Oil Industry Management Bureau director Rino Abad cited the weaker demand from top oil importer China amid its rising COVID-19 cases as a factor for the drop in fuel prices.
Last week, fuel firms also reduced the diesel price by P0.30 per liter, but gasoline rose by P0.90 per liter and kerosene by P1.35 per liter. (GMA Integrated News)
