ILOILO – A suspected drug pusher was able to evade policemen who raided his house yesterday morning in F. Parcon Ward, Poblacion, Pototan town.
Arthur Silva was the subject of the police operation but he disappeared when policemen entered his house around 5 a.m. yesterday.
Though the cops failed to arrest Silva, they managed to recover sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia from the house.
Senior Insp. Aron Palomo, Pototan police chief, said his men were armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Eva Saul-Padilla of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court.
The police recovered from Silva’s house 14 plastic sachets of shabu worth a total of P50,000 and drug paraphernalia.
Palomo said this operation was so far the biggest drug seizure in the town of Pototan.
“When we entered his house, our subject was not around. He attended a wake of a relative in a neighboring barangay, according to his mother, but we were able to seize drugs,” Palomo said.
The illegal drugs were reportedly for scheduled for retail during the town fiesta on May 8./PN
