BACOLOD City – A suspected pusher was wounded in an alleged shootout with police authorities in Barangay Bata.

He was resident Erwin Agsam, a police report showed.

Police investigators said prior to the shootout, a drug buy-bust operation was conducted.

Agsam allegedly fired his .38-caliber pistol at the cops who were about to arrest him around 4 p.m. on Sept. 2. This prompted the policemen to retaliate.
The suspect sustained a gunshot wound on the right leg and was brought to a hospital in this city.

Suspected shabu weighing about 40 grams and his gun, among others, were recovered, the investigators added.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Agsam./PN
