BACOLOD City – He allegedly sold illegal drugs.
The 26-year-old Jelson Mendoza was arrested in a drug sting operation on Gomez Street, Barangay 6, Isabela, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
An undercover cop initially bought from Mendoza – resident of Barangay 4, Isabela – a sachet of suspected shabu for P1, 000, the report stated.
Three more sachets of suspected illegal drugs and cash amounting to 400 were recovered during Mendoza arrested around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 16.
Detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station, the suspect faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
