ILOILO City – An illegal drug pushing suspect was arrested yesterday in a hotel in Barangay Malusgod, Pototan, Iloilo.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 operatives caught the 39-year-old Alvin Lapastora of the same village.
Lapastora sold a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover operative for P1,500 at around 3:11 p.m., the PDEA said.
Two lighters and a roll of aluminum foil were further seized from the suspect.
Lapastora claimed that he was waiting for his friends when PDEA operatives barged into their room at Hotel Edmundo.
“Nakibot na lang ko may nagsululod nga indi ko kilala kag gin-aresto ako,” he told Panay News.
He admitted possessing the substance but claimed that his friend owned it.
An undercover PDEA agent Panay News spoke with positively identified Lapastora as the one who sold them the substance.
Moreover, the PDEA said this was the third time that Lapastora was arrested for a drug-related offense. He had avoided detention by posting bail, said the agency.
Lapastora was detained at the PDEA Region 6 custodial facility in this city.
