BACOLOD City – They were caught playing the illegal card game pusoy in Purok Malipayon, Barangay 12, a police report showed.
The 22-year-old Jemuel Adokana, 45-year-old Emily Jaranilla and 35-year-old Anne Guillermo, all residents of the village, were arrested around 10:50 p.m. on Friday, the report further stated.
Confiscated from them were gambling money worth P165 and a deck of playing cards, police said.
They were now detained at the Police Station 1 lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling. (With Mae Singuay/PN
