ILOILO City – Judy Ponteras has turned herself in to the police.
The 45-year-old has been wanted for qualified theft charges, a police report stated.
Ponteras surrendered at around 7:55 a.m. Saturday.
She was detained at the police station in the municipality of Badiangan in Iloilo province.
The suspect went to the police station when she learned that a warrant of arrest has been issued against her, stated the report.
Ponteras has been charged with two counts of qualified theft.
Judge Gemalyn Faunillo-Tarol of the Regional Trial Court Branch 31 issued the warrant and set the bail at P16,000 for each count.
It was not immediately clear as of this writing if the suspect has posted bail./PN
