Quarantine violator yields ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Police arrested a quarantine violator who yielded suspected shabu in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The 51-year-old Pablito Layar was a resident of the village, a police report showed.

Policemen of San Carlos chanced upon Layar not wearing facemask on Jan. 3.

When frisked, he yielded suspected illegal drugs valued at around P6,800.

Detained in the lockup cell of the San Carlos City police station, the suspect faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and for violation of Executive Order No. 20-20, series of 2020./PN
